Now, I believe he was setting up an ambush, which helped him up from arriving to the shootout on time. however, take that with a grain of salt. On his way to meet Johnny Ringo in that movie famous Showdown, it was actually recorded that two shots were fired from somewhere in the thick of woods, where Wyatt Earp and Johnny Ringo were expected to meet in mortal combat, where they found Johnny Ringo laying with a single hole in his head. Like in the movie, however, that second shot was Johnny Ringo shooting into the ground. Hence, when they put that in the film, The Two Shots in the forest that no one else would witness, I knew that I would love this film more than any other Western made in that same. Of time.
